I liked the first Unrailed! game and thought the concept was really fun. The fact that there is another game came as a surprise to me. Especially since this one does not add anything extra and feels like some reskin of the first game. Don't get me wrong, it is still as fun as the first game, it just does not feel revolutionary or different in any way.

You still choose levels, chop wood, gather stone, cool your engine and build tracks to get the train to the station in time, before it derails. Nothing else has changed here. Maybe the only difference that I could find, is that you can now milk a Moose and use his juice to cool down the engine (imagen the smell).

After each level, you can buy new carts, upgrades for your existing cars and some quality-of-life improvements. When you crash the train, all progress and upgrades are gone. However, in the main hub, you can spend your tokens on permanent upgrades.

Graphicly, this game looks the same the first Unrailed! game. It is the same Minecraft art style, which is fine, but nothing special.

The sound effects are fine and the tension in the ambient soundtrack when the train is about to crash is very stressful and tells you that you need to get your @ss moving ASAP.

I do think Unrailed! II has more levels and maybe more sub worlds, but like I said, in the end, it is just the same as the first game.

For the non-sale price of 20 euros, I would not recommend it and would stick with the first Unrailed! game.

Fiance and I still have not gotten very far in this one. We are missing something with how to be more efficient as a team. I think a few more runs and we will have it figured out.
