This game is so frustratingly buggy, but I'm trying to give it a chance because I love almost all about it. The scenery is gorgeous and there is just enough survival mechanics to make it engaging without it being frustrating. I'm a bit dissappointed in that the game is much more linear than I though from the demo. The game gives you a map but no location indication, so at first it seems like you need to orient yourself using landmarks. But the level design is actually pretty linear so in reality there is no way of getting lost at all.

But yeah, it's bugfest city over here. Characters that get stuck in the geometry, weird physics glitches all over the place and I even got an actual crash-to-desktop when I was just steps away from a savepoint. When I continued the game, my character loaded hovering above the ground and there was a big "loading" text (this was after the loading screen). Eventually it finished loading but then the autosave was kind of borked and I couldn't find my car anywhere. I had to reload a previous save and do about half an hour of repeated content.

It feels Sable-adjacent in that the game has enough personality and artstyle for me to power through all the technical issues.

I feel kind of bad about this, but this game is so unmemorable that I forgot I downloaded a demo during the last Next Fest and basically played the entire thing. It wasn't until I started playing the demo a second time today that I recalled that I had done that 😔
