Not a bad demo. The game seems to be a 2D bossrush in which you fight 9 bosses. You get a new ability from each of them and can tackle them in any order and each one is harder than the last. So far so good. The combat itself is not a tight as Hollow Knight or Nine Sols but is functional. The arstyle is pretty good, although the enemy designs look much better than the player character.
So far so good. The only issue I have is that the main shtick is that you have a limited number of tries after which you need to start over. You get more tries after defeating one boss but still I have to wonder why. It really smells as padding. As "we only designed 9 enemies but want to publish an 8-hour game anyway". Unless bosses change after each run, something which the demo didn't suggest, then I don't see how it will not get extremely repetitive and frustrating very quickly as you die to a particularly hard boss only to be forced to kill all the others again.
