I'm not necessarily going to review this since this is not a legitimate release. But I've played for maybe about 4-5 hours at this point. I've more or less done everything that can be done, sorta. The game allows you to level up, but after I reached level 3 the experience started coming in so much slower to the point that I decided it would not be worth the effort to grind out another 37 levels(!!!) which would probably take me dozens of hours for virtually no benefit. So unless something changes this is probably where I'm done with this game.

I did have a little fun with this. The mechanics were interesting to learn and the Spider-Man movement was a blast to play around with. The ambient and distant music that plays while you build, wow idk it evokes this weird nostalgia in me that's hard to shake. That's definitely a stand out.

I didn't love the game, but this is also an unusual bit of early access from Nintendo. I imagine they wanted to test their ability to have live servers running for what is essentially a collectively shared game world. So of course the game doesn't need to be incredible for them to get what they need out of this. I doubt they built up this whole game to throw it out for only the server infrastructure they build. I imagine this may eventually be retooled for a more robust game in the future, so we will probably see this game again. I suppose I'm glad I got the chance to be a part of this weird experiment Nintendo has run.
