Starship Troopers Continuum

I played about an hour and had to quit. It looks like Arizona Sunshine... the original... on Quest.

It runs pretty smooth but is limited in the amount of bugs on screen. It is also NOT designed for single-player.

Trying to beat the boss in the first mission required me to fend off an endless stream of bugs while having to hold place until a weapon I needed opens. Then I needed to wait for a weapon drop.

The weapon would sometimes "land" in the sky where I could not reach. Also it was very finiky about where I had to move to pick it up.

Some of the issues can be fixed, but the basic design and moment-to-moment gameplay will still be... This. It all feels so cheap and like an old wave shooter or free game mod. It does not make sense in 2024.

Side note, right after playing this my friend invited me to play Helldivers 2. That is a good generic wave shooter! Playing it made this game seem worse. I wish that had a VR mod because that would be pretty good!
