It looks and sounds great.
The switch between running and chasing remains one of the game’s great mechanics, and Pac-Man CE allows it to shine. It’s still a high-score game, and it’s something you can get very good at. But in Pac-Man CE’s generous spirit and freewheeling guidelines there’s a sense of fun for fun’s sake, a desire to make players feel good about themselves. The original Pac-Man remains a piece of history but, if you just want a good time, Pac-Man CE is as good as it gets.
