I vaguely remember playing the Super NES one at a friend’s house because I clearly remember the main title screen with the voice screaming SPACE MEGAFORCE, but that’s it. I played Robo Aleste because I had read good things about it and because, well, sometimes I should turn on the Mega Drive Mini 2, and I found a very good game, with a nice tempo, a decent challenge, a simple but well balanced gameplay, a good soundtrack and a visual style that’s chromatically a bit boring but really dense, full of fun details with not a single slowdown. I also liked the batshit crazy plot and setting, even though the acting during the cutscenes is really atrocious and the ending feels rushed, kinda like they were keeping things back for a sequel that never happened.
