Be prepared to relive the first nightmare in Resident Evil 0, a remastered version of the popular prequel to the original Resident Evil game. This remastered version takes the fear-inducing atmosphere from the original 2002 release and transforms it with stunning new HD visuals, improved sound, widescreen support and an optional modernized control system and more. It's the best way to experience the story of what really happened before the iconic mansion incident that was the catalyst for the entire Resident Evil saga.

One of the best bad games

I mean really, no game has ever looked better than the train section. Let's not talk about the other 6 hours.

I'm so mixed on this game, I love the characters, most of the environments are great and many other things I could say were awesome in this game. The "new" tyrants are my favorite looking in the series outside of Nemesis so that's neat.

But dude, no items box is such a turn off for me. I also find it so jarring that in RE1 Rebecca is acting like she's never seen any of this stuff. Maybe ultimately Rebecca shouldn't have been in this game to avoid that? I don't know.

There were many times I was frustrated with this game but after finishing my first playthrough I do have a little bit of reverence for it. Old style RE games generally feel better on second plays, at least for me.

I'm now doing wesker mode and having a blast, I'm going to eventually 100% this game so maybe I should've reserved my thoughts for later, but oh well!
