Just grabbed this on PS5 and...WOW this is nearly unplayable to me. I've been playing MMX since it came out. It's one of my favorite games and I've played it more times that I could possibly count. So I immediately noticed something was off when I started playing MMX1. There's a pretty substantial lag when playing that makes the precision moves I'm used to nearly impossible.

I looked it up and I'm not the only one. Plenty of others feel it, too. What a bummer. I hope you can refund PSN games like you can Steam games, because it's a total dud for me.

So I would say the little extras put this right about even with emulation..the lack of save states are realllly lame but I enjoy the pictures and info. It's affordability makes it nice as well. Gonna go through the x challenge and get the last 4 x medals before I give it a full review but so far I can say....better than it could be but not as good as I would have liked. The games themselves are as good as ever but aside from the switch's portability I can't help but feel like just normal emulation would have made for a better gaming experience.

Playing Mega Man X

It's X, I like X, it feels weird to play it on an Xbox controller... This is why I need a N. Switch I suppose. The things the game add such as screen filters, and wallpaper backgrounds aren't really that big of a deal.

Would have really like options to alter the game in other ways. Even mapping out the controllers would have been interesting. Also some save state might have been cool. Overall it just keeps the original experience of the games "pure," which I understand is what they were going for.

PS: I like how fast we can jump from game to game.

There is also some noticeable input lag. Nothing game breaking but this version is objectively slower than the original. I've grown up playing collections so this is pretty standard fare for me though.

No rewind or savestates is hmmnnnnnnnnn. No unlockables is sad.... lack of extra features is also HMMMMMMMM

rookie mode seems like a waste of time to me.... The choice to omit the fmv's in 3 is also sad

clarity and control seem good...so far it seems like decent emulation but little else.
