I waited 300 years to play this game...
And honestly I probably could have bypassed this and would have been okay. Still love Zelda! But no I was not a fan.

Compared to Ocarina you can't play without guides and it's frustrating, that's why it's a worse game, still has its charming and I liked the atmosphere

This is the most original Zelda game you’ll ever play. The darker tone was a bold move on Nintendo’s part and they nailed it. Gameplay wise though, I hesitate to drown it in praise because it truly is an acquired taste. The time loop mechanic will undoubtedly turn some players off and knowing where to go next can be obscure. A good portion of the side quests will leave you clueless and grumbling your way to a walkthrough. Not to mention the notoriously badly designed Great Bay Temple. On purely aesthetic grounds though I’s say it’s worth revisiting.

La profundidad temática de este juego da para muchos análisis. Les comparto uno que hice sobre la idea del eterno retorno de Nietzsche

Definitely my favourite Zelda game. Can't believe I never played this as a kid.

If you're new to the series, play Ocarina first. Then play this one. Use the Song of Time religiously and get immersed. I beat the game sort of by chance, stumbling upon quests and temples at the right time, and I loved just being immersed in Termina. A classic. Fixes most of the issues Ocarina of Time had though it did have a few problems of its own (namely the lack of dungeons, but sidequests fill that time well). I appreciated the overall darker tone which made the game stand out from the others I have played.

1001 Games - #455
Pros: tried-and-true OoT gameplay retained, side quests keep game from feeling too linear, unique and bizarre narrative
Cons: few dungeons compared to predecessor games, fixed save points, time limit may be off-putting
Recommendation: a worthy follow-up to OoT, Majora's Mask ranks near the top of a series that consists of some of the greatest adventure games. …

Recommendation: a worthy follow-up to OoT, Majora's Mask ranks near the top of a series that consists of some of the greatest adventure games. It should be noted that MM is one of the most challenging entries in the Zelda series.
