The Jungle Book game is based on a Disney movie hero Mowgli. It's a scrolling arcade action game. You play as Mowgli and your goal is to gather all gems and return to one of your friends or your mother. The jungle is full of the nasty animals and you have to make your way through it safely.

a poorly executed game
This review is for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version

Played the SNES version. The Jungle Book is a 2d platformer released for a bunch of consoles, including the SNES.

You play as Mowgli through 11 stages with 4 bosses.

The main gimmick of the game is the gathering of gems (red and green). The red ones grants you 1 extra continue and the green ones gives you acces to a bonus stage. You must complete the required gems for each stage in order to gain continues, otherwise is gonna be a really hard game for you cause you start with only 1 continue and 5 lives.

The bad part of the game are the controls, not very responsives and too much finicky for my taste. Sometimes you are just gonna die because of the controls.

Luckily this game has some cheats that allow you to select stages.

I would reccommend playing this game with the stage select cheat enabled of just straight up emulate the game.

Played on SNES, "Practice" difficulty (AKA Kaa%). A below average platformer. Not sure how to rate it because I'll probably never play the whole game... Or maybe I'll speedrun it. Ha.
