Upon arrival, Raiden rewards his warriors for saving Earthrealm. However, Baraka and Tarkatan attack Wu Shi Academy. Although the Tarkatans were defeated, Baraka captured Sonya blade. Raiden confirms that Shang Tsung is trying to lure Liu Kang and his allies to the outside world, where he can order his henchmen to attack them and wait for his time for power. If successful, Shang Tsung will conquer the Earth without winning the Mortal Kombat tournament, which is cheating. Liu Kang and kung Lao travel through the nightmarish realm of the outside world to stop the sorcerer's conspiracy. He is guided by Raiden and supported by Johnny Cage. Along their journey, they meet several allies and learn of another person who wants the world; the Emperor of the outer world, Shao Kahn. During their journey, all the allies of Liu Kang and Kung Lao were captured. After reaching Shao Kahn, it is revealed that Shang Tsung has been impersonating raiden on the couple's journey, so that each of the soldier's defeats will increase his powers enough to steal shao Kahn's rule of the outside world. He defeats two Shaolin monks, Shang Tsung and Kintaro, and is challenged by Shao Kahn. With the help of the real Raiden, Liu Kang and Kung Lao finish off the Emperor, and both are awarded the title of champion. Together with his friends and Outworld safe, Raiden's group returns to Earthrealm to celebrate their victory. But unbeknownst to the others, Quan Chi takes his talisman and laughs manically, completing the story. The gameplay is as follows.in this game consisting of 8 sections, you are trying to kill the creatures and pass the section. The music of the game is beautiful. If you are not too obsessed with graphics and you like retro games, this game is for you.My rating for the game: 10/10 (y) Good games to everyone 🙂

Enjoyed this a lot. A beat-em-up, RPG, Metroidvania that's a ton of fun. I honestly think a lot of how I perceive the MK characters, relationships, and story comes from this game. Wish they continued this as a sub-series. I remember having a ton of fun playing this in Co-op as a kid. Replaying it as an adult, I appreciate that the characters play so differently from each other, but it's a bit annoying that you can't 100% it if you play solo. Really fun getting stronger whether through unlocking movement abilities or using EXP to upgrade combos and moves. Aiming is a bit of a pain, but I can forgive it since it's 20 years old.
