Tapper was a game that came out in 1983. At the time, it was a bit controversial, as it was sponsored by Budweiser and had you playing a bartender serving beer to customers. A later version modified this to you playing a soda jerk serving root beer, but the game remained the same.

If you enjoy games like Overcooked or Burger Shop, you will enjoy Tapper. It's very similar gameplay in that you need to serve beers as fast as you can without letting glasses hit the floor or customers reach you at the bar, where they will throw you out. The further you proceed, the more customers come at you.

There is a bonus game every few levels where you must guess which beer/root beer wasn't shaken. Get it right, and it will say "this Bud's for you" (or "this is for you" in the root beer one.) Likely this is one of the earliest pseudo advertisements in an arcade game.

It's a fun game and fairly addictive, but it's not quite to the level of, say, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong or other golden age classics. Still, it's a solid three star game. If you have 10 minutes to kill, it's not a bad way to spend those 10 minutes.
