i like flying the helicopter around in this one. helicopters are sorta weird and there should be more games that lean into their weirdness like this one does

Beat each stage once. Didn't see the point to continue once they began repeating. At first I kept dying because enemies appeared instantly at my base. I didn't even have a chance to figure out the controls. Your own base screen should have been a safe zone with no enemies allowed. Once I got used to the controls the game was not too difficult. I liked how 1 button switched the facing of the chopper and I had full reign to fly around the level. I did not like how all enemies except emplacements respawned constantly, but it was manageable. The biggest flaw was how bombs only hit the tanks and gunboats on the very bottom of the screen, yet failed to work on jeeps and turrets. That straight vertical attack would have been helpful. The gameplay was simple and innovative with nice aesthetic differences between levels. Well except replacing fighter jets with jetpack mechs. There is not much to this game this era, but back then it was something.
