Underwurlde is the second in the Sabreman series, following on from his adventures in Sabre Wulf. The format of the game is a 2D side view flip-screen platform game. The aim is to escape from the Underwurlde via one of the three exits, to go to either Knight Lore, Pentagram or Mire Mare. It was later included in Rare's 2015 Xbox One retrospective compilation,

Some of the other ZX Spectrum games made by Ultimate Play the Game (now Rare) that are included in Rare Replay haven’t aged gracefully. But in the case of Underwurlde, I have to wonder how anyone could have enjoyed it even in its day. It’s so fundamentally flawed to control that it brought back bad memories of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure and Dark Castle. Underwurlde is close to unplayable.

"Vertical Atic Atac" indeed. The enemies don't kill you, instead you just have the possibility of falling to your death. You bounce around and do acrobatics like crazy, with absurd gravity and physical abilities heh. But I soon got sick of bouncing around uncontrollably and struggling with the goofy controls. Potentially really fun, so worth a playtest, but I'm moving on
