Bomberman found it to be an unbearably dreary existence. One day, he heard an encouraging rumor. According to the rumor, any robot that could escape the underground compound and make it to the surface could become human. Bomberman leaped at the opportunity, but escape proved to be no small task. Alerted to Bomberman's betrayal, large numbers of the enemy set out in pursuit. Bomberman can rely only on bombs of his own production for his defense. Will he ever make it up to the surface? Welp, a start to another important game series. Mind you, I'm playing the original 1983 MSX version. Based on the videos I watched, the gameplay seems fun enough (tho not nearly as original/unique/innovative as many people say it is, there have been plenty of games with similar mechanics before this) but looks like eliminating the enemies would be the fun …

Welp, a start to another important game series. Mind you, I'm playing the original 1983 MSX version. Based on the videos I watched, the gameplay seems fun enough (tho not nearly as original/unique/innovative as many people say it is, there have been plenty of games with similar mechanics before this) but looks like eliminating the enemies would be the fun part--blowing up all the walls after that looks blah. (Of course, you could do them simultaneously, but I could see that getting messy real fast.) Still, worth a shot for such an important game series... Welp, after playing through Stage 3, can confirm it's not for me heh. Keep in mind, this is the graphics for the version I played--it's not the graphically reworked one released in Europe and NA. enter image description here
