I'm a bit surprised at the low ratings on this one! Sure, it doesn't hold up to advancements made in baseball games since, but for its time and place in Nintendo history, you gotta give this game some props. So very curious, what do you not like about this one? I'll give some weak points to it below, but I'm interested in seeing why y'all didn't like it.
Weak points:
1) The outfielders are slow as molasses in January. It's awesome that the field is SO BIG, but you get the ball in the corner, and it feels like the play is going to take 20 years.
2) I hate passwords, and this one has the longest password system of any other game I played.
3) When playing the computer, it really feels like the game is programmed to keep you from getting too far ahead. Doesn't matter how well you play, it feels like the computer is going to pop some homers late in the game to catch up.
4) It doesn't seem like the players' stats actually mean anything. All the pitchers are the same, etc.
So if this thing came out today, no. But it didn't. It did a really good job of using an 8-bit system to produce a good baseball game. It produced tons of fun back in the day.
