Unlike previous outings, Super Fantasy Zone was handled entirely by Sunsoft (under license from Sega), who had previously brought Fantasy Zone and Fantasy Zone II to the Nintendo Famicom. For unknown reasons the game was not released in cartridge form in North America, but is currently unconfirmed as being a Sega Channel title. It eventually saw a more widespread release as part of the Wii's Virtual Console service. Read less

Great For A Console Game, But Not A Genre Nor A Difficulty I Can Push Through Rn

Preliminary: Just got through the first boss. I am overal really enjoying this, but the one hit kill factor is a bit much. Preliminary: Just got through the first boss. I am overal really enjoying this, but the one hit kill factor is a bit much. Plus I've played this Fantasy Zone formula before heh, and tho I do love them especially the Look and Sound, it's legit always that same format and the bosses/difficulty are always so hard and the Shop feature seems really hard to properly use. But I am going to keep playing this for now.

The music and Look continued to be amazing, I loved the second level's music, but the difficulty and easy deaths were too much for me. Pretty much the story of my experience with most the Fantasy Zones! But this was the closest the sequels have come to the original arcade game's feeling that got me to push through it.

Look: 8.5/10

Sound: 8.5/10

Play: 7/10 Not really my cup of tea, I've been really craving adventure games in 92

Feel: 7.5/10

Attachment: 7.5/10 Definitely of all the console Fantasy Zones, this is the one to replay (so far). But I likely would go with the original arcade game

Overall: 7.8/10
