Wow the music in this is so good. I feel like I can rate this only if I get access to either version (ride-on or upright cabinet), wouldn't really be right to rate it based on using a controller and MAME heh. Too bad cuz I am curious about it!

Oh man what a game.

Ok, so I have previously played some of the Sega racing games like Outrun, Daytona or Rally, so I was expecting a brutally difficult game once again, and Hang-On did not disappoint. I quickly lost count of all the tries necessary to even reach its fourth stage, which is probably the hardest, let alone beat it.

I was eventually able to beat the game in Easy difficulty, and then started practicing the later stages via savestates before tackling Normal. After many attempts, I was finally able to cross the finish line in a complete playthrough and I have to say it felt very rewarding.

I can heartily say that I recommend playing Hang-On, just be ready for a lot of crashing.
