Cute, Beautiful, Fun - My Type Of Arcade Game, Even If The Gameplay Isn't A Favorite

Preliminary: So I had played this (as just 1 player) on arcade machine and got to the first boss. I was having a lot of fun (see my status update) and knew I wanted to give it a full MAME try. I noticed the snap-to-position button was critical (and now that I'm playing it on MAME, I can attest it is almost overpowered.) I just finished the first boss on my MAME playthrough. I love the Look (already one dim/nighttime/lit-up-windows level, but mostly cute and vibrant), great Sound as I noticed before, and the snap-to-position button makes the game doable since I usually am not a fan of these superfluous minigame feeling type games that add difficulty. We'll see about later rounds (seems to be 10 rounds in total). At the least I know this will be a good one to keep around at my parents' and to play 2-player in the future with family and friends.

Look: 9/10 Ooooo just like I loved the second screen of Round 1, when it changed into nighttime/lit-windows vibe, I love the second screen of Round 2 when it shifted from bright sunny green landscape to autumnal warm vibe! also lol at the …

Look: 9/10 Ooooo just like I loved the second screen of Round 1, when it changed into nighttime/lit-windows vibe, I love the second screen of Round 2 when it shifted from bright sunny green landscape to autumnal warm vibe! also lol at the character bouncing sprite enter image description here

Also the bones remind me of Pajama Sam and other Humongous Entertainment minigame/side-games. Like Putt Put and Pep's Dog on a Stick :-p

Ah, so each round will get darker and darker. I love that. That's almost exactly what I had in mind for my platformer game. enter image description here

Why we are throwing out child to ram into a pink skull that sometimes just looked sad with pretty eyes and other times evil, is beyond me lol. But I did love the moments our flung child would get lodged between the skull and the edge of the screen doing tons of damage, reminding me of the Kirby pinball Gameboy game bosses. And lol I love the face the Sun makes in Round 3 when it gets hit. Full of cute surprises and nice touches. You can tell the programmers and graphics creators really wanted to create this cute, fun universe and they actually achieved it. And God do I love lit up windows at night like a Christmas village.

Yesss, I always love amusement park-themed levels, reminds me of Mr. Do's Wild Ride enter image description here

Sound: 9/10 Even the music kind of reminded me of Putt Putt and Pep's Dog on a Stick lol.

Play: 8/10 What could have been a frustrating minigame style game was a plain ol fun game mostly thanks to the snap-to-position button. So many cute touches, especially with the Look and the Feel, but also the gameplay like the slots in Round 3's boss. Again, I probly would have been very frustrated with that I can never quite understand these bounce-based games' mechanics of where the "ball" will go, or just barely not being close enough to catch the "ball," etc. But the snap-to-position came in clutch each time so I could just enjoy seeing scores go up, beautiful colors, nice Sound, and some fun engaging gameplay that didn't result in frustration. It felt really great when I wouldn't rely on the snap-to-position and manage to get a good angle. I love the idea of the bosses too, like... you're battering them with your child lol.

Feel: 9/10 Cute touch of putting the fruits in the wine glass-looking thing lol. The Feel is where this really shines. The gameplay technically is not my thing and it's not technically amazing either, but here I was, excited to play it, abusing the snap-to-position button lol, and still having fun seeing the different Looks and knowing some day it'll be fun to play this with someone else.

Attachment: 9/10 Whoa, just now on Round 7 did I realize I can batter the Sun until it falls down and you automatically pass the Day level of each Round. So much replayability in this, little touches and power-ups and things I didn't realize were happening. Plus the fact I absolutely must try this with 2 players. Anyway, at last I was at the end enter image description here
