Basugun SP is basically the only game I've played on my iiRcade machine because I have this weird brainworm in my head that I have to play a game to completion in order to startup another one. Normally that's fine, but for arcade games to me that means 1CCing them, but I'm also not usually super motivated to do that. I have put a lot of hours into this game and have gotten close to a 1cc, but I think it's time to put it to rest and try some other games.

It's frustrating because I don't really feel like I have beaten it since I can just quarter feed, but I have also completed the game like a dozen of times lol.

I think I'll just take the W and move on.

Great shmup though, highly recommended.

This is apparently known as the first “bullet hell” game, and is pretty well-regarded to this day as a good example of one. I can generally see why, since it has a nice clean, colorful look, and is pretty fun. The last couple of bosses for me just ruin any desire to replay it though at my current level of play—they are just so brutal. Luckily you can continue infinitely on an emulator, so my quarters are safe… Still enjoyed running through it a few times, though I prefer some slightly more modern games. Will try the Special edition at some point.
