Completely unlike the classic Bard's Tale games, this game is in a 3D environment with the player watching his only controllable character from an overhead vantage point, and it is better described as an action-adventure game than a traditional role-playing video game (i.e. there are no character classes or inventory management). The player's character, The Bard, has magic and weaponry at his disposal to complete the task. The more the player accomplishes, the better his skills will become. The appearance and gameplay is much the same as the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series, which shares the same graphics engine. Read less

Got the platinum but boy was this one of those games I remember being better than it actually was.

It shouldn't be passed up.

The Bard's Tale ARPG: Remastered and Resnarkled is a rather delightful experience. The dialogue is hysterical, the characters memorable, the RPG mechanics solid as a rock and the combat decent. There are definite performance issues, and it is not as Remastered as it could have been, but when the core game has held up this well, does that really matter?

The Bard's Tale is a "comedy" game, in the most ham-fisted and forced way possible, like it is a comedy in the same way a newgrounds 1999 hentai game is porn, it reeks of the quality of writing from those sprite webcomics, like it was written in a college dorm in the early 2000s and it has that HALO culture …

I don't know if i'll ever play such games by my own without a friend rifting on it. I will uninstall it for now and see if i will return to it later.

An adventure where the narrator and the protagonist interact in a very comical way in an adventure where the bard has to save the "princess" where over the 14 chapters the player will acquire several summons where he can make upgrades depend on how the protagonist interacts with the NPC in some cases, however there are some bugs in which it does not compromise the main quest of the game, but the player can expect some characters to pass through other characters in the cutscenes, but other than that I think it is a good experience.

I started this one today and played about 3 hours now. Honestly this game has gotten old but it just hits the spot. I was born early 90s so these types of games includes the feeling of playing when I was a younger. It's a clunky, graphics are..something and everything feels a bit off while playing. But dispite of all …

I was born early 90s so these types of games includes the feeling of playing when I was a younger. It's a clunky, graphics are..something and everything feels a bit off while playing. But dispite of all that I feel warm and cozy inside and I'm really enjoying my time.

Such a "charming" game.

Great voice acting.

Hmm... another game I should finish.
