Only played this for 10-15 mins as I’m still playing New Pokémon Snap, but I wanted to check out how it runs on Switch.

Portal 1 runs great (haven’t fired up 2 yet); granted it is fifteen years old so it damn well should, but where Switch ports are concerned you can never be too sure. Runs at a solid 60 in handheld mode with anti-aliasing.

The deadzones on the analogue sticks feel a little too large for my liking with no option to adjust, however it’s always hard to tell whether it’s the software or those tiny little Joy Con nubbins at fault. There’s gyro aiming too for those inclined—I can see myself enabling it when things get more twitchy.

Assuming Portal 2 holds up on the technical end this is a great bargain. Two old but classic games available portably (and to those of us not blessed with a Steam Deck) for £13.50. Seems good to me.
