Old valve experement

Firs of all, this is a counter strike, similar to any other game in this series. Long ago valve decided to use GoldSrc game engine and gave a turtle rock opportunity to build this game. That's how "deleted scenes" appear and that's why i decided to play this game. End of historical context =)

Basic game seems to me like an introduction to world of cs. Valve implementation adds "tour of duty" where you play on every map in game and complete 3 missions. This approach might be interesting to play but still it's just counter strike with bots. So original game was left by me.

On the other hand, there are deleted scenes. A bunch of missions with a small story that not connected with each other.

All missions - corridor shooting range (which in the past was a common thing). There was some additions like a stealth mechanic in some mission, but mechanic was done by very lazy programmers. Why? If you move on enemy line of sight (distance is nothing here) they will trigger and if you will hide within 1-2 seconds, they play classic skyrim dialogue like "i think that was a rat" (or the wind).

If we except stealth mission that triggered me, it's a common game that you might play out of curiosity. It still feels like cs with bots, but now you are in a god mode and there is a story behind.

Fun fact, in 2024 there are still working servers in game. Guess every counter strike version comes with "undead" characteristic in source code :D.

Am I the only one who played and loved the Deleted Scenes canceled Single Player Campaign that came with this game?
