Beyond common infected, players face five special mutated types with unique abilities. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 were one of the few games where I actually got all the achievements in lol xD. Those late night expert mode runs literally drove my cousins and I to the brink of insanity..... it was great :). Still stands as one of my favorite shooter games.
