If you've been out of the gaming scene for a while, let's saaaay... from the 8-bit era, this game won't give you any novelty feeling, which is in turn the reason it feels so fresh today.
Seriously, one might say that Hörberg Productions resumed some forgotten project from 20 years ago and adjusted the looks to the current standards. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that's not the case but it has this awesome NES flavor.
The game looks and sounds amazing and, despite being (very) short it's a really enjoyable experience. The difficulty level is just right: challenging but not frustrating. There are no lives, but if you die, you go all the way back to the beginning of the stage. Fair enough.
It follows the typical "save the girl" plot, without any dialog beyond a "Help" scream from the girl as she's kidnapped by the bad guys. You'll start chasing them through the typical western village just to end up... well, you'll see!

THE ONLY REASON WHY I DID NOT GIVE IT THE LAST STAR:
This is what would happen if someone made an NES game with modern sensibilities. I like it.
