In addition to blocks, the environment features plants, mobs, and items. Some activities in the game include mining for ore, fighting hostile mobs, and crafting new blocks and tools by gathering various resources found in the game. The game's open-ended model allows players to create structures, creations, and artwork on various multiplayer servers or their single-player maps. Other features include redstone circuits for logic computations and remote actions, minecarts and tracks, and a mysterious underworld called the Nether. A designated but completely optional goal of the game is to travel to a dimension called the End, and defeat the ender dragon. Read less

I feel like I will always "play" minecraft but this is one of those games I look at more like a living model set. As a kid I loved models and the details you could get on them. I feel like Minecraft is like a digital lego/model set. It also has a lot of nostalgia for me since I have been playing it since it's early days when there was not nearly as much complexity to it. As an older gamer I find this game totally calming (most of the time) I can watch TV while I play this game. I also play with friends which makes it fun as well. This game is more like a digital diary into what was going on in my life, oh that house over there is what I built during the last move, that maze over there is from when I got the promotion at work... you get the idea. It seems like there are so many games out there now that are heavily influenced by Minecraft and there are some that do it better in some ways but Minecraft will always hold a special place in my gaming heart.

This game is probably one of the best games i have ever played as a kid. I grown up now but still it's really fun to play with my friends.

After trying some modpacks to.... Maybe, make this game more enjoyable to play, the Modpacks barely made the game anymore enjoyable for me.

Es Minecraft, juégalo, y más si es con amigos. Es increíble para pasar el tiempo y relajarte un poco picando mientras escuchas un podcast, o para jugar sin mas

It's Minecraft. Best enjoyed with friends; I can't stomach the RL Craft modpack though, which sucks because all my apparently-masochistic friends love it.

It's Steve. This is a smart pick, though perhaps not the most exciting.

I quit and come back to this game so many times. Despite how easy the game mode is I almost always play Survival.

For my freshmen orientation course we had to model a campus building in Minecraft. Just spent the last 5 hours finishing the project and I never want to even hear this game's title ever again.

You play for a while on survival and then get creative. Either way you have fun. Great game, good times, bad friends. (Lol griefers)
