Good For An Early Console Racing Game

Preliminary: I dunno there's almost no way I will give a racing game above a 3 star unless I have heavy nostalgia for it. Preliminary: I dunno there's almost no way I will give a racing game above a 3 star unless I have heavy nostalgia for it. The beating up others isn't really what's selling me on this one, it's the good music, good backgrounds for a home console game in 91, and honestly the controls. This is the first racing game I felt good at in the chronology project so far. It's a bit slippery but I got used to that quirk. And I was getting air and flying along and got first place first 2 races without any savestates etc. I also like the between-races screen. Moody enter image description here

Niccce with the different bike options too. The music for the desert level was great and I like this between levels screen too, but tho I want to see what other tunes come along, I'm not sure if I will be motivated to keep racing for first place. Never really gets me. Maybe upgrading my bike will? enter image description here

Yeah meh it's time to move on, but definitely my favorite of the racing games so far.

Look: 8/10 Those between-level screens boosted this.

Sound: 8.5/10 Some real good tunes.

Play: 7.5/10 Not a favorite genre, but one of the best of the early examples of it. Esp for console. I really liked the controlling.

Feel: 7.5/10

Attachment: 7.5/10 Not a genre I often return to but this would make the list of early 90s examples of the genre.

Overall: 7.8/10
