Glad to Have it But Half-Assed

The originals are awesome and this release doesn’t do anything to add to them aside from making them playable online and on updated hardware. Despite the issues I still love the games so I can’t complain too much.

Unfortunately another game that's fallen victim to a buggy launch and lack of improvements over its original counterpart.

Curious to find out how Aspyr Media managed to launch the game with only 3 working servers which means a total of around 200 players would be able to play out of 20k apparently on steam alone? The lack of bug fixes from the original, broken aim assists, no invert option when controlling vehicles, missing cutscenes. Just not looking good unfortunately, especially when the PC community were already pointing to the originals on steam and saying they're perfectly serviceable - what makes a re-release worth it if some of the fundamentals aren't working?

That being said, I wish the team at Aspyr all the best and I hope they manage to get things running again. Seen some of the abuse they've been getting online and it's unacceptable.

Been off work with a fever the past two days which sucks. Hardly slept. But today's the launch of the battlefront classic collection which I've been excited for since they announced it! Such fond memories with these games on the PS2!

Just sucks playing a game whilst you're ill, something really uncomfortable about not feeling all-there but also trying to enjoy a game you've been looking forward to for a while.

Got a day off work though, so that's a win I suppose?

Anyone else picking this up? I've bought it on playstation.
