i finally got mk8dx... why the fuck is every character, track, and mode unlocked from the start? whatever happened to the good old sense of single player progression? -_- i will always stand by the notion that having everything right off the bat is overwhelming and cheapens the experience.

the core gameplay is obviously fun. i mean it's mario kart. but man, the psychological effect of knowing i have every track and character at my disposal after zero time even spent in the game, it really makes everything feel significantly less focused / more pointless than it would've been otherwise

I wonder what's next in store for the Mario Kart franchise. I've been getting back into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with my daughter as she's finally at the age to play (the steering assist really helps too) and it's such a perfect game, I can't imagine what Mario Kart 9 could even do that would keep it fresh.

I went back and played Super Mario Kart for a little nostalgia dose and it's incredible to see how far the series has come. But what could be next?

We should hold a Grouvee convention, have everyone come together, chill and play games. We pick a different city around the world each year. I nominate Chicago for the inaugural year because I miss Chicago. Everyone can crash at @georgeypoorgey's house! I'll nominate Toronto for one of the subsequent years and you can all come crash on my couch!

Absolutely beautiful game! The visuals are stunning. The controls are so good and the character and course roster is monstrous. The DLC was so much fun to add. Lost many friends to this game as well. Best course is Dolphin Shoals! The music in this game is 10/10.

Really like the Wave 6 Cups! Wii Rainbow Road is great, and I love the new track, Piranha Plant Cove!
I tried out Peachette and Diddy. Both handle nicely, but I'm still gonna stick with my boi Wiggler on the Wigglermobile.

Well, I finally played Wiggle on a Wiggle. I think I'll main Kamek on a Wiggle though.
And it was fun playing the London stage for the first time after being there for a few days. "Oh look at that! We were there!"

I tried Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the first time earlier today, and I had TOO much fun playing it. still, I'm not going to buy the current switch model unless something really changes my mind to buy it as a fully all in one console, and that's not going to happen.
