First try, I beat Mars Core Master Level on Ultra-Nightmare. That is a new record for myself. Fastest stage that I have ever beaten on Ultra-Nightmare by a long shot.

Got a 1440p monitor with 165hz and HDR, finally got DOOM Eternal to stop crashing by reverting drivers. After 7 years of PC gaming, I'm finally free from 60hz. Life's good.

UPDATE 6.66 IS OUT! You know what that means? Grouvee's DOOM Eternal connoisseur is here!

So far, I played Mars Core Master Level and the new Horde Mode on Nightmare. I haven't finished World Spear Master Level yet and I am going to tonight.
So far, Mars Core Master Level is in the middle interms of Master Level difficulty. It's pretty easy compared to Super Gore Nest and Taras Nabad, but I died more here than in Arc Complex and Cultist Base. I really liked some placements that trapped you. You're just about to leave the vents, but then Carcasses and an Archville spawn from afar. Then another Archville spawns from afar with a carcass afyerwards. I love this kind of BS. Get the yellow key and a Tyrant appears immediately around the corner. I played a bit of it on Classic mode and does it love to prove that Full Auto has been buffed. It feels smoother to switch between this and the Plasma Rifle that I was having a lot more fun with it than I did (which is still a lot). Do the same for sticky bombs for consistent PB + sticky combo, please? That combo is too much fun. So yeah. I didn't struggle like I did with Taras Nabad or SGN, but man, it is good to have a new master level. My gut tells me that UN will be done faster than the previous to ML's.
Horde Mode is a lot of fun and takes some ideas from proteh's mod like platforming bonus rounds in between. Definitely easier than the mod since there are extra lives per round and during bonus levels. The enemy setups aren't random, but I love the reward for really prioritizing on bounty enemies, giving quad damage and 4x score multiplier if you kill them early. Even though I prefer DOOM Eternal, I find myself leaning a bit more towards Ultrakill's Cybergrind. That game's mode is more immediate to get into, has procedurally generated enemy placements and layouts, and it is endless. But still, personal preferences aside, amazing job and I would highly recommend playing this update if you love DOOM Eternal like I do. I'm ready for the mods.
ALSO SO MANY CLASSIC SKINS!

Finally, something from a good action game to get a certain game off my mind.

Have you gotten to that point where you loved a game so much that you'd go as far to get figures and even a Figma of all things?
Look! It's the Mii costume from Smash!

I hope that this is a one time thing.

Decided to start playing the DLCs after the second part was available on the switch. Not sure if it was the best idea: after I bought them both, most of my muscle memory for this game had already faded away, and the first part is a bit more difficult than the base game. Managed to beat it -not without any stress, mind you- and now started with the second part.
It is an incredible game nevertheless and I just want to keep on ripping it until it's done.

Doing an Ultra-Nightmare run for the main campaign. So far, my current run has been my best by a long shot; I'm at level 8 out of 13. Everything up until level 4 is the hardest part of Ultra-Nightmare and that's where all of my runs have been up to until this one. I have completed UN, but I cheated. It's been an astounding 420 hours of playing this masterpiece and I think I could legitimately win with this run. Wish me luck.

Just finished Taras Nabad and this game keeps delivering. At first I thought the difficulty would be just too much for my modest FPS skills but I've been able to keep on going. Go me!

Continuing my controversial stance on Marauders, not only do I not mind them, I think they might be the single most enjoyable enemy to fight in Doom: Eternal. I love these guys. I wish they’d show up more often. I love the feeling of dispatching them quickly. I love having to factor them in when fighting a mob of …
