I can't believe a group of people thought to make a wonderful game like this. I've never had so many "Aha!" moments in one collection of games. I can't believe a group of people thought to make a wonderful game like this. I've never had so many "Aha!" moments in one collection of games. The beauty of this collection is that you get to figure out each game yourself if you want. It's truly magnificent each time you find out for yourself what to do, especially when it comes to understanding the core mechanics of each game and what it actually offers.

I did Thanksgiving with my extended family yesterday. Convinced my nephew to get UFO 50. My brother texted me after I left that my nephew specifically loves Hot Foot and Camouflage.

It feels so good to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

I never came across one in person but I am doubtful that at any point in history that anyone would want those things...

Lol it seems these pirate cart things are still being made direct from china... and are lmost the same idea it was 40 years ago. !

Night Manor is my new favorite horror game

enter image description here

It succeeds where so many modern horror games fail. It's slow pace and unarmed protagonist adds to the dread. It's environmental story telling is compelling while not obtuse. The sound design takes advantage of the setting and the hardware limitations. It has genuine scares!

I just can't believe how good UFO 50 is. Everytime I think I have played the last great UFO game, I find another that shines in a whole new way.

UFO 50 is a miracle. I've never felt so impressed by a game. The amount of work it must've taken to make just one of the fifty games was not just the six years this game was in development, it was these developers' whole lives. There is considerate game design, vibrant yet focused style, intentionality within the limitations of the made-up system, the made-up lore, and the music is just absolutely killer. Everything just sings with nostalgia while also scratching those modern sensibilities. Plus the presentation lampshades any possible complaints I could have. Games were just occasionally kinda jank back then.

I don't know if I like every game. But I do respect every game.

I don't know if I dislike any of the fifty games. Saying that after playing for over fifty hours feels like a miracle. Tons available and everything is delicious. Jesus feeds the five thousand.

My first console was the N64. I have no nostalgia for NES, SNES, or any retro game before the late 90s. I don't care for old games with bad controls and unnecessary difficulty spikes, and I was absolutely uninterested in UF0 50 because I assumed it would be a poorly thrown together collection of nostalgia bait. WRONG as could be!! It's a lovingly crafted, brilliantly executed collection of nostalgia bait with something for practically every type of gamer. It even has a fun overarching narrative about the pretend studio that made these games, and a little chao garden mechanic. My personal top 5 games are Grimstone, Night Manor, Mini & Max, Lords of Diskonia, and Party House. There are also games I knew weren't for me after 5 minutes, and thats okay because everyone has different favs and that's what's so cool about UFO 50!

I bought this but I'm scared to actually get into it because I just know I'll end up spending way more time than anyone should playing through all 50 games

I was looking forward to this since the concept of a collection of new retro-style games from the history of a fictional studio sounded cool, but after trying around 20 of the games, I haven't really had much fun with them. I was looking forward to this since the concept of a collection of new retro-style games from the history of a fictional studio sounded cool, but after trying around 20 of the games, I haven't really had much fun with them. The way it's all presented is nice, and it's an ambitious thing that is more fleshed-out than you'd expect with some stuff I found decent, but overall I think it's just not for me. If you are a lot more into 80s games than I am and want a bunch of new stuff to try out at once, this is probably a no-brainer as it seems to give great value for the money.

Hades 2 didn't get me playing my PC but maybe this will. Unless they announce this for Switch before I beat Zelda, I'll probably be mouse and keyboarding it like the rapscallion I am in about a month.

Did anyone buy this? It looks really neat! Reviewers are saying it's 50 complete retro games in one, rather than just 50 half-baked minigames! Instantly added to my wishlist!

A reviewer on Steam has nearly 1300 hours played, and he had incredibly high praise to give. Seems like a great amount of content for such a low price.
