I started this again last night. While I don't think it's been a decade since I played the first time, it might be close! I originally loved this back then! I was super impressed by a fully fleshed out action RPG on the Nintendo DS. While the story is touching, it originally didn't have much consequence upon the overall arc. I still remember this game as a favorite in the series particularly because of what it does with the platform it's on. (I remember being impressed by the drawing distance of the treasure chests.) However, nostalgia can be incredibly misleading. I can't wait to see how I feel after this playthrough (going for a 100% run).
[I am still of the opinion that I would have loved a remake/remaster of this game with the original Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.]
