Dropped

Yeah, this is a mess. The game itself is a mindless button masher, which is fine, but it's hindered by an useless minimap, a constant rain of quests and objectives that don't really matter, as the game-controlled characters will do it for you, and mechanics that aren't explained and fail to do anything significant at all. I've thought about buying the newest edition of this first game, for the Switch-- but I just honestly... don't really think I am that into it? That being said, it's growing on me.

I just can't help but get the feeling that: if I want to play Dynasty Warriors I should just play DW (3 and 4 are my favorites) -- and if I want to play Zelda, I should just play Zelda (I am due up for a run thru any of the mainline entries again, and there are a few elusive side entries I have still yet to treat myself to)

This feels like a good grindy game to play a bit of while it holds my interest. It's nice to not have it sit on the shelf, and I love the chance to experience playing more games on the Wii U. I just don't think I am a big fan of the aesthetics or progression system in Hyrule Warriors, so far. Guess I'll need a Steam Deck so that I can play Dynasty Warriors 4 away from my main setup.. but Hyrule Warriors will do for now.

Not a Zelda-style game. But it is a good, enjoyable game. Somewhat repetitive, but so are most Musou games. Overall, good.

I finished up the last of the "Legend Mode" DLC, finally! Now there's just like a billion Adventure Mode things to do!
