Holy shit, this title...

I don't think I have ever experienced a piece of media like this, ever. This game tells you the story of its development by itself. You can just see it plainly in the redrawn assets and the buggy recycled interactions. That game-breaking bug where you can't advance the story of the game unless you capture a Deep One alive? And after a certain point the Deep Ones just stop showing up? So your save basically breaks??? Holy shit on a stick, these poor developers were hit like a truck by the success of the first game. I mean, the game is just the same first X-Com with a horrible coat of paint and larger, more obnoxious maps, so it is not an entire waste of time. But honestly after the remakes there is little to no reason to play this. Just imagine it is an unofficial sequel, like a Pokemon Dark Rising or something
