Intro

This is a hidden object game. The world consists of a number of static screens with things to click on (people, puzzles). Gameplay consists of 'normal' puzzles, hidden object puzzles (search for certain objects on a screen filled with objects) and finding the right place to use the right item.

The Good

  • Solid HOPs.
  • "Reverse" HOPS are a nice twist (place objects from a list instead of finding them).
  • Stupid story.
  • Decent length.
  • Map travel.
  • Map indicates zones where you can take actions.
  • Hint function works well.
  • One really good puzzle.

The Bad

  • All other puzzles are awful. Seriously, this game has some of the worst "busywork as puzzles".
  • You have to wait over a minute to skip some of these terrible "puzzles" and the counter stops when you Alt+Tab the game.
  • Ugly animations. People look ugly and unintentionally disturbing.
  • It's often impossible to figure out the next step without using the map to find active zones.
  • Even then you will often have to use the hint button because there's no logic to what to do next.
  • Forgettable music.

Conclusion

The first 1000 Doors games were decent and made by Alawar themselves. This game was the second product of …

Conclusion

The first 1000 Doors games were decent and made by Alawar themselves. This game was the second product of a different studio and notably worse. While the HOPs are solid, the shitty puzzles and lack of logic ruin the game.
