I don't know what it is about the 90s era of adventure games where there were so many "puzzles" that were really just busy work with no logic or thinking to them. The train puzzle is just drawing out the paths until you stumble upon the exit. I didn't want to do that, so I just looked it up. Kings Quest V, VI, and VII all have puzzles just like this. Kings Quest V actually has 2 of them! Other than that one "puzzle," we made it through on our own. I think we might give the Age of Rime a shot here before moving on to Riven.

I still enjoy it quite a bit, but the controls for some of the puzzles are baffling and not explained at all. In the mechanical age, it would seem like some of the levers that you need to move around, don't work. They do work, but you have to hold down R2 and move the stick around. In general the on screen button prompts for puzzle control kind of suck. It's still Myst though, so that's cool.

Beat the main story in 8 hrs. Even got the good ending on my first try. Excellent game, but how am I still missing 10 achievements!?

About to use a guide for the mechanical world because biting I do works. I hate having to use guides for puzzles.

Edit: Turns out it was poor controls by the devs. No one said you had to hold the action button and use the right thumb stick to move levers.

I remember playing this a tiny bit on the Sega Saturn. Can’t wait to truly play this and see how good I am at it now that I’m old enough (29).

I'm sure this is cool in VR, which it was originally developed for. As a standalone PC game it just can't hold a candle to the look and feel of the original. Its hard not to get that "A Fan Remade [Some Classic Game Level] in Unreal Engine" vibe from the whole thing. Or "Someone Made Myst in Dreams". Even …

Game Pass cloud streaming really needs KB/M support. If I am sitting at my computer and want to play something that has KB/M support if running on Windows 10, I really should be able to play that game with KB/M if I'm streaming from the cloud.
