Beat on loan from my coworker using her DS. She is a huge fan of the Dynasty Warriors franchise but this was my 1st time playing anything from the series. I do not remember how I built my character or what supporting cast I used. I did mostly play my own guy while switching to the others when my guy was doing boring travel. I played on Normal and found it to be reasonably challenging for the most part, but some later levels were very difficult and I had to restart. Easy was way too easy for me. I enjoyed the strategic aspect of deciding where to send the characters and having to adapt to the changing battlefield; I played this more like a strategy game. The action parts I did not enjoy so much. The regular enemies were too dumb and weak; they might as well not even be there and were occasionally a minor threat if I failed enough objectives that their stats were ramped up. In contrast the named enemies were nearly OP. I disliked the constant barrage of objectives with time limits and dialogue during combat when I was too busy to read subtitles.

Not a bad game but not very good either. Gave it 6.0/10. Maybe go as high as 6.5 now.
