Spyro: Year of the Dragon is the third installment in the Spyro series and the last Spyro game Insomniac developed. In this 3D adventure, Spyro have to retrieve 150 eggs that the evil Sorceress has stolen from Dragonworld. To survive, he will have to utilize all of his signature moves along with several he's recently picked up, like the ability to control vehicles like tanks, submarines, and speedboats. As an extra bonus, you have the option to choose from a wacky cast of characters: Sheila the kangaroo, Sergeant Byrd the flying penguin, Bentley the Yeti and Agent 9 the space monkey.

Finished playing this and I think that this game is better than Spyro 2 (but still highly inferior to Spyro 1). I liked to play with other characters, Sheila can jump really high, Sgt. Byrd is the only one who can actually fly here (though I don't like he as a character, I think that Madagascar did better lol) and Bentley smash things. But I hated the monkey.
I liked some of the mini-games too, the Sheila side scrolling mini-game, the slides, the find the dog and find the bones mini-game, the skate mini-game (but it's difficult to land and I hate mini-games with a timer so I just did the first one).
I also had to farm some eggs by the end of the game to unlock the last boss (while in Spyro 2 I could just fight the final boss without played any of the levels of the last home world lol).

I loved Spyro as a kid, I almost finished the 1st Spyro but it bugged in the final battle so I never actually finished until recently, and I still love the game and did everything (except the annoying high speed flying levels lol). Then I played Spyro 2 and hated it, I hated those stupid mini-games!! And unfortunately Spyro 3 …

Okay, here we go again. I've finished this game tons of times, less than Spyro 1 and 2, though. I hadn't the game when I was a child because the CD didn't work.
Anyway, another playthrough on the go. I absolutely love this game. Even if I think Spyro 2 is a better game (because in the last world it's obvious they did run out of time), Spyro 3 is probably my favourite Spyro game and one of my favourite platforms games in history along Jak 3.
So, time to replay it again.
