Finished. I'm not the biggest superhero guy, but always enjoyed Batman, and this game was so much fun.

When I play this on my Switch, my console will vibrate so much when I fight enemies that my wife is like "what the heck are you doing?" haha.

Such a fun game! I love how much you feel like Batman in this game. All the abilities, all the gadgets. The Switch has been great in helping me discover games I never played during the PS3/Xbox360 era, though Xbox Game Pass has been great for that as well.

The Switch version of this is excellent. Yes, Arkham Knight is a dumpster fire on the Switch, but of the three Batman games that got released on Switch a few months ago, I got to say Arkham City looks pretty good, plays pretty smooth and overall is the best of the games available.

Now that the Arkhamverse is dead with Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad, I hope that people could look back on Arkham City without the nostalgia goggles and realize that it was always ass.

IMO this one was better than Arkham Asylum. It like they fixed a lot of things that you wanted them to. The base gameplay is awesome. I love the Catwoman parts. I wish the city was more polish and I gagged on some of the comical witty banter but ayyy it's Batman. Can't wait to play the third one in …

I wish the city was more polish and I gagged on some of the comical witty banter but ayyy it's Batman. Can't wait to play the third one in this trilogy mainline But will take a break because in truth, as much as I love the game the combat can set your nerves on sizzle and not always in a good way......but solid five from me

MASTERPIECE

They did everything right they did in asylum, just better! Every person who's played video games must play, the art, the characters, the story down to even the voice acting, will hit the spot.

Playing through these again for the first time since they released and, boy, both Asylum and City really crumble in the second half. It's mostly thanks to people who demand their games be overly and unnecessarily lengthy, because if they'd just been like 8 hours long, it'd be fine, but they felt the need to include everything and the kitchen sink and it really suffers as a result. What starts out as a fun fairly linear and well plot driven escapade quickly devolves into nonsense of the highest caliber.

I still like them both a lot, I do, I just wish the games could've been streamlined more, especially City. It's arguably, gameplay wise, the better title; it's more polished, it's got a more interesting story, it's got a much bigger environment (that's not exactly a plus, but whatever), but because of the 2010s gamer demanding games as long as existence itself, it's crammed to the gills with things that only lead to plot holes and make the whole thing fall in on itself.

I'm curious to get through City and finally play the third, since I never got the chance, and see if maybe - MAYBE - they finally managed to make one that doesn't crumble in the second half.

Then again my opinions mean nothing as I've learned lately, so why I'm bothering to share them at all anywhere in life remains to be seen.

Batman whoo.
