FINAL FANTASY IV is the fourth main installment in the FINAL FANTASY series, developed and published by Squaresoft. It was released in July 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan, and released as FINAL FANTASY II in North America in October 1991 with alterations made due to Nintendo of America's guidelines at the time.

Stuck at the last save point. Can't beat the last boss. Fuuuucccckkkk. By far the hardest last boss I've fought. My last 4 hours have been grinding. It sucks.

I feel the game dragging a bit. I'm 13 hours in, n the underworld. I just beat the fire fiend, Rubicant. I don't know how much is left. Cecil is level 35. It's not that it's a bad game or anything, but the difficulty is ramping up a bit and my last hour + of gameplay has been grinding. I …

I feel the game dragging a bit. I'm 13 hours in, n the underworld. I just beat the fire fiend, Rubicant. I don't know how much is left. Cecil is level 35. It's not that it's a bad game or anything, but the difficulty is ramping up a bit and my last hour + of gameplay has been grinding. I know that's par for the course in these games, but I feel like I've been grinding more than I did in FF5 or FF6.

After beating Final Fantasy 5, this was the next logical step. It's alright. The gameplay isn't as fun to me, but the story is better. It's still an old, basic story but it's still better than FF5. The game is definitely harder, though. About 4 hours in.
