Sports Games Never Hook Me, But I Do Love The Kirbyverse, Colors, And Sound

Preliminary: What beautiful colors and Sound. I guess I'm a sucker for Kirby. And the spinoffs are surprisingly solid. It was a bit frustrating dealing with the rolling-around-the-hole but so it goes with miniputt in all forms so. I assume I should read the manual tho in case of additional mechanics. This definitely seems like it's best played 2 player but I will play a decent amount even if it just ends up an honorary 3 star.

Yeaaa I do like this, but as it is as a solo player game, I had no desire to make it through the entire course let alone all 8 courses. It is a robust game, with great colors and good gameplay (as far as miniputt games go). I enjoyed my 6 holes I did but time to move on :-p

Look: 8/10

Sound: 8/10

Goated mini golf

This game rules. I wish there were more levels and the final boss is kinda weak but the core gameplay is great.

I do wish there was more visual variety in the levels, the grids get boring.

I didn't unlock the extra levels because that's too hard lol.

The four Kirby game ever released and the second spin-off, this time Kirby becomes a golf ball. The gameplay is far more complex than just hitting a ball into a hole, though, and there are many mechanics that makes this a unique experience.

There are lives, limited hits, enemies from the franchise and lots of puzzles that need to use the abilities that you get from enemies, just like in Kirby Adventure. There are 8 worlds and a final boss, and every world has 8 holes. If you lose all your lives during a world, you have to start since its first hole, which can be frustrating, especially when you are in the last hole, so I'd recommend playing it in Virtual Console with the advantage of save state.

However, the game itself is pretty fun and the gameplay is captivating, and you can do the holes in many ways, including using power-ups from previous holes to create new strategies, so I wouldn't say the game is unfair or anything like that, just challenging, especially when compared to other Kirby games. This also means that the length time depends a lot on how good you are, as the worlds aren't that long, but you could spend many hours improving your skills until you create the perfect strat for a level where you died A LOT. You can also get medals and unlock extra modes for an even harder challenge, but thankfully that is totally optional.

In conclusion, this is a pretty different experience from your standard Kirby or golf videogame, and it can be hard and/or frustrating, so I'd recommend playing it with Virtual Console or if you want a challenge, something that you don't always get in this franchise.
