Question: I already have DSFix and Mortens242s UI mod installed. What other mods should I install without totally stressing out my system (currently running butter smooth at 1920x1080). I'm thinking essential texture mods and other essentials, but keeping the experience as authentic as possible.

...Torgo! I know your out there, and you are our Dark Souls grandmaster / guru!!!

Just finished it. In my life only few games marked me in a beatiful way and I loved them truly. Dark Souls is one of them. I liked it more than DS III, maybe because it was my second of DS series to play so I had the experience to enjoy and appreciate more the whole set of the game. A tiny thing that "dissapointed" me was, that after a point in which I had my player's stats, weapons etc considerably upgraded, the game became easy enough and the bosses too. In DS III the bosses were waaay much harder to beat and of course more complicated. The most difficult boss couldn't be compared even with the easiest one in DS III.

But anyways. I enjoyed it very much. Just hope DS II is more challenging.

The only thing I really hate in Dark Souls, is that you haven't the ability to travel via the bonfires (at least at this point of the game that I am) like you can in Dark Souls 3 (as for the second one I don't know, haven't played yet). Ok, the difficulty level sometimes becomes annoying, but I knew it …

Ok, the difficulty level sometimes becomes annoying, but I knew it already even before I start the game, but the travel thing gets on my nerves sometimes.
I want to get my sword repaired, oh Lord of Cinder!

Feeling pretty accomplished right now. :)

Gaping Dragon is down! So is Quelaag! I've made my way through Sen's Fortress (oh boy, were those traps a pain) and arrived in Anor Londo.

Wow, Anor Londo is such a breath of fresh air after all the doom and gloom up to this point. The design of the levels and monsters was starting to dwindle down my sanity. I'm telling you if I had to see one more basilisk... with those googly eyes.. <shivers>.

So pretty much everything I want is in Anor Londo. I want to get that fury curved sword. I want to see the Painted World. I want to get the firelink shrine firekeeper back after *someone* thought it was a fun idea to stab her. I'm totally psyched for exploring this place.

I also had some experiences with the multiplayer aspect of the game now.
One positive - I summoned a friendly player and together we engaged in... I think the term is "jolly cooperation"?
And one negative - a bunch of players from that forest guild, decided to team up on me and totally gank me when I was exploring the Darkroot garden area. Boo! Who thought that making a guild around teaming up on unsuspecting players was a good idea? Anyway, I'm completely out of humanity now, so I wont have to worry about any of that for a while. I suppose I should go back to the depths at some point to try to get more. I now have a shiny ring from Sen's fortress that gives me a greater item discovery rate.

Yeah... sleep is overrated.

After a month-long break, I'm finally back in the world of Dark Souls. Let the despair commence!
I won't lie. I had a hard time getting back into things, especially since a visit to Blighttown was next on my program. Mosquitos, poison, I don't even know how to describe most of the monsters here, more poison... But, as always in …

I'm fully sucked in again guys. I'm about 28 hours into this playthrough, and I'll probably start over right away when I'm finished to try a mage build next. It's gotten deep enough that I haven't spent any time building Grouvee the last couple of weeks because I've been playing this with all my spare time. I'll get back to …

I really hate Blighttown. I don't know if I'm just bad, or if that area is just super hard. I've died a ton with my strength build, and I finally just had to quit because I was going to break the controller :)

I'll get back at it later this week.

New personal best time: Dark Souls in 2h47m!

I made a couple mistakes here and there. Only died to one boss: the centipede demon, I fell in the lava. Otherwise it was a good run. If I played absolutely perfectly I could probably shave it down to around 2:30 or 2:15 at best. But without using glitches/skips it's impossible to …
