I really wanted to like this, but after 13 hours I have to realize it is not for me. I don't think it is a bad game, but it is too perma-deathy and too tactical for my taste. Too often you have to make decisions with not much info to go on and too often things go wrong. You can't get better on a map because of the procedural generation of the maps, so you try again and fail and fail and fail. The tiniest mistake on your side and not much you can do to come back from it. The few abilities you have that could help are on huge cooldowns, but the alarm levels rise faster and faster. I made it to level 6 missions but now I feel my agents are no match to the enemies and my AI is constantly out of power (on easy, no idea how harder difficulties are even playable) and I have two objectives I need to fullfill. I only can get through a level if the level is by RNG extra small and everything is close together, I choose the best doors by sheer luck and still I barely make it out alive all items used, every ability on cooldown.

The voice acting is great, the art style and the setting made me stay for so long and try over and over again. It makes me sad to put this on the "not for me" shelf, but that's how it is. I am not giving it a rating because I feel it would be unfair, having stopped playing early.

Not giving up yet, but my brain is already running hot and smoke is coming out of my ears.

This is a mess to the unfamiliar eye but I have to share (briefly) how I held my breath in tactical overload for an hour, the culmination of a rogue-like run, 20-30 hours in the making. I was on the final mission in order to achieve the 20 Day Survival run (on expert + dlc), largely a suspiciously smooth approach until things turned for the worse.

My team was separated and cornered. My gadgets and hacking capability were running out, guard patrol on a record high. Normally, their cones of vision are 45 degrees, but these later levels they now have an owl-like 180, nothing escapes their sight.

I normally keep them unconscious and under control for the duration of the mission, but my approach sprung a leak while on a desperate search to find the key card for the exit elevator. Finding the card from the last possible safe, I had a single mad dash with cloaking jackets on full, with a serendipitous position for a distraction, armed with the games best shock trap to nullify them all at once.

I was in the clear, the exit before me, everyone survived.

The achievement was mine.

I doubt I have the fortitude for Expert Plus difficulty.

Thats it. Invisible Inc is bumping up on my all time favourites.

The title alone is incredibly smart.

I just think its neat!

I haven't reinstalled a game more than Invisible inc.

It sneaks its way back into my minds vault and steals my attention when I least expect it.

I would adore a sequel.

Overall, not a very difficult run compared to the extended campaign. I didn't even get very much gear but I did amass quite a fortune. Sharp seems to be an agent that is built for Endless mode. I didn't even get 3 Cybernetic upgrades for him (I did turn down two that didn't really synchronize with my items and team at the time). enter image description here
