Having tons of fun playing so far. All of the characters are hilarious with my favourite 100% being Big Smoke. All of the missions are tons of fun and the amount of freedom you have in the city is great. The driving feels so fluid and the combat is great with the variety of weapons. Overall, a great GTA game.

Playing GTA: San Andreas and Cyberpunk 2077 really highlights that one thing that is really missing from all open world titles is good radio stations. I love that in GTA SA the radio changes with time or missions, even mentioning things that happened in the game.

Sometimes you find a section of the game so shoddily made, so unenjoyable, so putrid, that have to assume that nobody in the whole development team played it or tested it. The RC plane mission is one of those.

Gone to visit another part of the family and played more on the plane.
Again, I'm surprised at how small the open world actually is. But that's a good thing because you can actually get to know the city(ies). You quickly stop relying 100% on the minimap and start being able to navigate the streets like you would in real …

Now tha to think about it, I don't remember the original version having routing capabilities.
The story is engaging with fun characters, but the female characters are horribly written. Or at least the relationships. You rescue a girl form a flaming building you set on fire and she's automatically your girlfriend. You then meet another woman and steal stuff with her and literally the next time you talk to her she's also your partner. It's like the writers assumed that it's not possible for a male character to have a relationship with a woman that is not lover or sister.

For people with a netflix account, I can confirm that I was able to play this game in airplane mode while flying. So I don't know how netflix drm works now but it seems not to require a constant internet connection.

Woah, I totally forgot that your "girlfriend" is a girl you save, damsel in distress-like, from a burning building, THAT YOU YOURSELF SET ON FIRE. What the fuck, dude.

I'm playing this a bit because it was free on mobile with netflix and I'm visiting the in-laws so I don't have a lot to do.

The radio is as awesome as I remember and the core gameplay is still kisnof fun. But it really shows its years. The game is riddled with dumb busywork and mini games and after half a dozen missions it is still tutorialising new mechanics. One mission is to buy clothes, which incidentally is a slow process of clicking on the item, eating for you character to come out of the closet to preview and then waiting for him to go back when you see it's hideous colours. There are stealth missions too?
I was surprised at how small the city is. I remember it being this huge sandbox but by modern standards it feel puny. The starting city is no more than a dozen blocks wide.
