I went into this game fully expecting yet another recycle of AC2 assets. I was surprised to see a decent graphical upgrade from the previous games. Windows 10 struggled to show those graphics, however, until I deleted systemdetection.dll from the game's installation folder.
Climbing is a lot less tedious with the hookblade, and the instant-fail-on-detection missions have been deemphasized ever-so-slightly. …

A large portion of the game is rather repetitive. Find Polo symbol; find book; find key; do Altair segment; write a letter to your sister; rinse & repeat.
The Desmond story also continues to make less and less sense.
