Damn I wish they would remaster this game, it's such a classic. I super enjoyed it even though the controls were clunky and it was all a bit repetative. It really amazes me how well they did the free running in such an early game!

This game has quite a lot of issues but it's still a great start of the franchise.Controls and combat mechanism are horrific but nevertheless not only does this game have amazing graphics for it's time but also an amazing concept and story. Certainly not my favorite game in the series, but it was fun at the time. Except for the trailing missions and all the eavesdropping. Ugh...

Two stars because of the environment wish the 'gameplay' part was better

I haven't been able to enjoy the animation-based combat in the series, and the tasks seem too repetitive with no satisfying payoff.

Just needed to write myself this reminder so I don't fool myself again into giving it a another chance, like I've done several times already.

It’s like a demo of what AC was thinking about becoming. But worth a play through so you can become introduced to the mythology.

I really wanted to experience for myself how this series got started, but I have to agree with what so many other reviewers have already said: It's impossible to enjoy this after you've played any of the later games. Just now getting into this series (yeah, I'm late to the party) and I am very pleased. Lots to like here. Very cool simulated reality concepts, excellent story line. Not a lot of hand holding. Just the right amount.

I should be logging some hours with this title during the Winter.

I loved the story behind the game, being able to access your ancestors memories. As the story went on you could easily guess how it was going to end. I loved the story behind the game, being able to access your ancestors memories. As the story went on you could easily guess how it was going to end. The assassinations and fights all got repetitive very quickly. For the life of me, I couldn't assassinate the main bad guys without them running away, or alerting every damn guard within the city. Controlling Altair felt laggy and he would end up clinging to objects instead of running away. Camera movement was bad as well. It would adjust itself mid jump and Altair would go in a completely different direction. I didn't bother getting all the flags since there was nothing additional to be gained from it - no extra content, no achievements. I did, however, complete all the objectives in all the cities and accessed all the viewpoints in every city and in the Kingdom.

Working on the last memory. The controls are so god awful in this game. Very frustrating. And it keeps crashing right after I complete a kill.

Just finished the assassination in Jerusalem. Things are taking an interesting turn. Seems that people and their actions aren't always what they seem. Also, I am not a fan of Altair's attitude.

Completed the assassination in poor Acre. Started to collect all the flags, but then quickly realized that there is nothing extra for them. No achievement on the PC version and no unlockables. Only really good as a saving point.
