“And when the world shall listen
And when the world shall see
And when the world remembers
That world shall cease to be.”
First Dragonborn vs Last Dragonborn is such a cheap plot device but goddamnit, I want to see that fight so bad. Going back to Solstheim after all these years and fighting the arrogant yet powerful Miraak is way more fun than it should be. Add in a dash of Lovecraftian aesthetic and the entire thing becomes one of my favorite pieces of Elder Scrolls lore.
Skyrim Dragonborn, to start this off this is a perfect way to continue the story from the base game and really makes you feel like a proper dragon born and taking you back to a location from an older game at the same time and they do it surprisingly well. Miraak is a wonderful boss and having him be the first dragon born as well is a great decision. all though the story isn't as long as id like for what it is but its still enjoyable. one more complaint about is it doesn't introduce not many if any at all enjoyable characters for what dawngaurd does i can remember almost all the characters as apposed to this i don't think i could name one other character (besides Miraak) even if my life was on the line. Including this it is still the most enjoyable DLC in this game and I enjoy going to Solstheim every playthrough. i give this a solid 9
I'm having trouble figuring out if it's possible to get what DLC a user owns from the Steam Web API. You can get it from the Community XML data API, but we get rate limited when we use that API because there are so many people importing Steam games on Grouvee now. It doesn't seem like it's possible from the Web API which is a bummer since I just added the data models in for DLC.
The scariest part of DLC data is having to go and find all of the Steam mappings that have been screwed up over the years because I've told people to map the DLC to the original game. Oh well, that'll be a fun little task I'll have to figure out how to fix here soon.
