somewhat tempted to backlog my second playthrough that is near the tail end of far harbor and pick it up when I get the VR version of the game. I played it for 20 mins at my VR friend's house and was impressed. It might be the killer app. It wasnt THAT good or anything but being able to explore the overworld and the dungeons on a headset is tempting.

At the same time, I want to send this to the slayed shelf sometime in my lifetime.... i'm roughly around 80% completion (combining both playthroughs). I've been playing it night a week

Needs to be played on Survival

3.7/5

Without comparing it with the other entries in the series, it's a good and fun game to play. This game needs to be played on "Survival Mode" to get the full experience.

My big complain: unforgivable high amounts of bugs. Also, too many payed DLCs (some of them could have easily been included in the original game or added …

So Fallout fans in Grouvee land, what is your opinion on the Season Pass for Fallout 4 as a worthwhile purchase? Yes, no, or just go play Fallout 1 & 2 for the umpteenth time?

i find myself loving Fallout 4 and griping a lot too. this game can be really fun with mods and even barebones it impressed me like a superstructured scaffold, but its still a bit jangly and has classic bethesda flaws. It's also missing 'meat' in places that can make one wonder why they didnt push some things just a little further. Example: all the power armor you get. Considering how cool the PA looks, why cant you assign settlers to the lower value suits of PA you acquire in vanilla game like you can with weapons and armor? Or Weapon displays? Maybe an auto equipable armory system? I'm so thankful my computer will run it right now after replacing my CPUs heatsink. (I think this game's hungry engine shorted out my fan) My two favorite mods are Worsin's Garage and Rename Anything. Rename anything is one of those mods that goes well with other things.... I'm making little Chaos space marine outfits using worsin's garage and naming the set-pieces after chapters i've imagined. (This is great way to organize things too if you have stuff like Darn UI that can add icons using [brackets]) the mod also lets you use html tags that got patched out. I can also rename the NPCs I freely recruit from wherever I want using Tee Party Companions but why oh why is the PA management CRAP in this game! and my RPG elements are basicalyl make believe! lolenter image description here

Now that I finally got Fallout 4 working legit (my CPU Fan needed replacement) I am constantly tempted to play it but too deep in Pillars of Eternity to cede any temporal turf to the Baron of Bethesda.

Sorry you janky jokers but i'm not breaking my paladin pact any time soon. Stand up for whats right. Boycott Fallout. lol.

I haven't had an experience in gamebryo-whatever this bad yet. It's literally the worst video game experience i've ever had. It has to be.

It's like unwrapping a NES and your cartridge slot is a wee bit too small so when you pop in a game it goes in, but it's impossible to get out. So you got to unplug the nes and take it into the garage and put it in a vice and pull it out with some industrial strength tongs. You do this everytime you want to switch games. Not how it is intended. But it works. Sort of.

^Bethesda is THAT system and Fallout 4 is THAT game.

F4 blew me away at first, then got a bit stuttery. Eventually got worse. Finally, truly was unplayable. Now if i even start a new game on fresh install it starts microstuttering in minutes in the opening area. Heck i can see it microstutter in the main menu even.. All kinds of weird things too... Not just microstutter but timing issues, dialogue timing, etc. the microstutter was like fingernails against a chalkboard. it wasnt just annoying, it was downright hellish gnashing of teeth. icfps clamp kind of works but its hardly enjoyable because the game will get laggier and laggier and slow down more and more. Spent well over 72 hours troubleshooting... testing dif things etc. Googling around people claim they fix it but I dont think thats the case. I thought I fixed it to a few nights ago, but it always comes back if you keep playing it long enough and have this problem...

I'll either wait for some 'final' edition or call it quits. But I pretty much want to have nothign to do with gamebryo now... This was the last straw and i dont trust em anymore.

Well, this would be the 'Sixth Car' I've driven by bethesda that after you got so far from the car lot eventually all would go jinky janky jingle jangle on me. After a while I suppose it in fact becomes 'part of the charm'. But this time it started driving me crazy. For one thing, it happened far sooner than any of the previous ones, and the jinks and jangles grew into something far more than a microstutter hiccup somewhere deep down in my fuel cell controller.

Eventually this hunk of junk is going to blow up. And the blast will kill me. :vaultboy smile:

Finally finished. That ending... was VERY disappointing. As a Fallout game, I don't think it's that great, but it's still entertaining enough.

I don't usually go in for game mods, but I think I'd make an exception for this Fallout 4 mod:

WFT? I've just got here and they didn't even asked for my name. I see that the bad reviews I read were on point. I'll give this one a pass and maybe replay Fallout 3.

I need to play Fallout 4 again now that the textures have been overhauled, the expansions are all released and there are new physics effects. That and the new survival mode. That makes it sound like an entirely new game.

Why oh why is the season pass for Fallout 4 triple what I paid for the game?
