The Last of Us Part II is an action-adventure game set five years after the events of The Last of Us. The player traverses post-apocalyptic environments such as buildings and forests to advance the story. They can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. The game intermittently switches control between Ellie and Abby, and also briefly Joel in the opening sequence. The nimble nature of the player character introduces platforming elements, allowing the player to jump and climb to traverse environments and gain advantages during combat. Read less

Now that there's a remaster coming out very soon, with a £10 upgrade cost if you own the PS4 version, I'm trying to decide if it's worth picking up a used copy now? Prices are bound to go through the roof for used copies as people opt for the upgrade instead of buying the PS5 version at full price, right? It's £17 for a used copy so £27 in total after the upgrade. I was hoping to pick the game up for £10 in a year or so but that's looking unlikely now, hope I'm wrong

As much as I love the first game, TLoU 2 is just a horrible and a big disappointment. Everything that was a part of the success of the first game got thrown out like a piece of garbage by Neil AreyoudrunkMan. From characters design to story development, Neil Druckmann did an absolutely terrible job at connecting them together and that results in many plot holes. This is my honest opinion so everyone can either agree with me or disagree.

I have been thinking about this game for a month after I finished it. Ellie's journey and the world of the last of us is intertwined in such a beautiful way that I can't stop thinking about so many aspects of this experience. I also love Abby too. The journey and the message were lost on so many.

Right when I think I'm out... They pull me back in! The HBO pilot has reignited my "thinking about TLOU2 and it's implications 24/7 every day all the time always" era with a passion so I guess I have to replay. Probably my last big game before Forspoken (and the 2023 releases thereafter) start rolling in so let's make it …

This is an extraordinary achievement for gaming in general and a superb sequel to the already outstanding first game. I am happy to have finally played the game and it was worth every moment!

I swear I wrote a review for this but there’s nothing here. No review, no stars. I wrote volumes about how I feel but did I write that on someone else’s status? Oh boy, if I did I’m never going to find it :-(

There are games where every half-hour or so of gameplay you are presented with a cutscene.

And then there are games that let you play for a few minutes between every half-hour of video.

This game is excellently made and I can feel how much the devs went through to craft this thing. The attention to detail is astonishing.

This game is excellently made and I can feel how much the devs went through to craft this thing. The attention to detail is astonishing.

Unfortunately, the pacing kills it all. Constantly the game tells me "the next plot points is here!, but it takes hours before it gets there. I felt fatigued by this game and then when I looked up how much is left I'm only halfway through....I don't know how much more I can take. Too many sections are either filler or boring as shit.

If this is your type of game then you'll have an amazing time, but for me I've lost patience. The fidelity of this game bumps it to 4 stars but otherwise...

It's happened again. Every time I finish a PS4 game on my PS5, they release the PS5 upgrade. This time it is Last of Us Part 2 lol:

Alright folks, I finally managed to find a used copy of TLOU2 at a decent price and from a reputable source with home delivery. So I'll finally be able to officially join in on the discourse once I've had a chance to play it. That might have to wait until I'm done with ME Legendary Edition and Ratchet & Clank: …
